Blog Post 5: Barney Stinson - Great Womanizer

Womanizer is a man who likes many women and has short sexual relationships with them. As most of us know Barney Stinson played by Neil Patrick Harris in How I Met Your Mother is the greatest "Womanizer" and the only "Ladies Man" in the show. He attempts, and succeeds, at having sexual relationship with as many different women as possible. He also produced the "Playbook" where it shows the acts on how he manipulates women and sleep with them. Barney Stinson is the character that never wants to settle down into a monogamous relationship.

And they have only one goal that is to get a woman into bed. Also womanizers are sweet talkers and very charming. They are very interested and very attentive. Funny, loving, attentive and very sympathetic. They are very good listeners, he knows exactly what you want to hear. Another thing about a womanizer they dress well and are too conscious about his looks. He has a jolly, care free personality, exciting and creative. He is very friendly especially to women.

This article clearly defined the traits of Barney Stinson as a Womanizer. It said there that they have only one goal and that is to get a woman into bed. Every single time they went to the bar that’s his only goals. He always wears suits and that’s one of the traits of a womanizer “dressing well and conscious about his looks”. He uses magic tricks or plays from the playbook that represent how creative he is and that’s another trait of a womanizer. "Anytime a girl wants to get back on her ex boyfriend, we'll be there. Anytime a girl wants to solve her father issues, we will be there. Anytime a bachelorette party drives to the city in a limo, sticking their heads up the sun roof shouting "what’s up New York", we will be what is up New York" this is a statement that Barney Stinson said in How I Met Your Mother and clearly shows that he is truly a womanizer. A perfect man for every woman. Funny, loving, attentive and very sympathetic.

It says here base on the studies of some psychologists womanizers struggle with low self-esteem, and their sexual conquest make them feel better about themselves. Also womanizers may have unstable or nonexistent relationships with father figures, especially in early childhood which makes them insecure who they are. Womanizers may have to manipulate and deceive women to get what they want, and they may ignore guilty feelings – or they may not feel any guilt at all. This, too, will help you recognize a womanizer.

This article defined some traits of a womanizer and its psychology. In the sitcom How I Met Your Mother Barney Stinson doesn’t know who really his father is because his mother told him different types of stories about who is his father or what happened to him and because of that his relationship with his father is nonexistent. And in the article it is said womanizers may have unstable or nonexistent relationships with father figures, especially in early childhood which makes them insecure who they are this is just a proof that even in his Psychology he’s still a womanizer. Also Barney uses different tricks or plays on the playbook to deceive and manipulate woman to sleep with him without any guilty feeling just pleasure on having sex. This shows another trait of a womanizer that’s stated in the article.
