Blog Post 2: Marriage: Marshall & Lily

Marriage is a union of two people who are very much in love with each other. One's love for a lifetime, destiny, and other half only to be separated by death. A taking of vows between two people to have and to hold, in sickness and in health 'till death do they part.
In Lily and Marshall's part, they have been married, after being lovers for quite a while, after college and to all of their friends, they show how they can work out the maze of a marriage.

What makes a good marriage?

As I was reading this article about Good Marriage by Dr. Phil. According to Dr. Phil "The quality of a relationship is a function of the extent to which it is built on a solid underlying friendship and meets the needs of the two people involved." Every marriage must start with friendship which is then built with trust, the two involved fill in whatever gap the other might have.
Also, he said that you get what you give. When you give better, you get better. Every marriage require certain attributes to the relationship. Marshall and Lily meet halfway through everything and anything they do. They give way to things that will make the partner happy and vice versa.

Next article that I've read is Ten Secrets to a Successful Marriage by Mitch Temple. In her article it said "Happiness is not the most important thing." In a marriage the couple should always make each other happy, like in Marshall and Lily's marriage the key is to nurture each other and know what makes the other one tick.
Marshall and Lily love each other so much, so much that they listen to each other, they do stuff that only they would do together, they love the same things. Marshall and Lily can be depicted as the lovers that are very much meant to be. The other half fills the gap of the other and vice versa.
